Alright guys. This is a long post. I could have broken this up into several small posts, but I thought I would save you some extra clicking instead. I have got some great dating ideas broken down by categories like cheap dates, romantic dates, active dates and then other date ideas. Bookmark this page because you will want to come back. I think I have listed some pretty damn good dating ideas that your women are sure to love. If you’ve got some other great ones, send me an email so I can add them to the list.

Cheap Dates

I classify a cheap date as being any type of date that costs less than $40.

Take her out for ice cream. Going out for ice cream is an old school innocent way to get out and spend a few minutes together. You are probably going to want to do more than just go get ice cream. But, if you accompany this with another small and cheap activity it can make for a really fun and slightly romantic date. Something about stopping for ice cream brings back memories of teenage innocence.

Play a round of miniature golf. Here is something that you can compete in. I suggest you make her look good. Make sure she wins. Then take her for ice cream.

Bowling is as much fun as ever. You can still get a couple of games in pretty inexpensively as long as you’re not guzzling pitchers of beer while you’re doing it.

Have a traditional date at the movies. I know this gets more expensive every year. Yet, it is still one of the cheaper ways to take your girl out for fun. If she won’t tell you what she wants to see, then put your foot down and suggest whatever the latest chick flick is. Don’t take her to see the latest action or science fiction movie. You will be too distracted by the movie to pay attention to her.

Pick one of the local greasy spoon diners or take out places to take her to. Maybe some place is known in your town for having the best hot dogs, the best tacos, the best chicken wings or the best hamburgers. Take her somewhere like that that she has never been so she it will be interesting and memorable. It might not seem like it is romantic to take a girl to that kind of place, but if she isn’t a material girl, she will probably think it is really cool.

You probably have some place in your area that has a little go cart race track. They are usually pretty cheap. Take her there for some high speed bumper cars. Show off your manhood by destroying her on the race track. Stick your tongue out when you lap her the first time.

Is there a historic site nearby where you live? Maybe there is a working museum or someplace where there are characters dressed in period clothes that tell you about local history.

Romantic Date Ideas

Prepare her the perfect home cooked candle light dinner. This is one of the best and ost romantic dates you could go on. It will help you fall in love for the first time or fall in love again. You never know where the night may lead.

Afternoon picnic in the park – Bring a large blanket or two and stake your claim at the nicest and most secluded park in your area. Pick one that isn’t infested with mosquitoes. Pack some fried chicken, some fruit and some wine. Work your magic.

Watch a sunset if there is somewhere nearby that gives you a great view. Look for a beach or shoreline that overlooks the sunset on the water. Another great spot is a highpoint like a mountain or bluff that provides a clear view.

Dinner at a nice restaurant – Spring for an appetizer this time. You two can split one. If you know the restaurant well, call ahead to reserve an ideal table for two in the ideal spot. If you’re unsure of the seating, ask the person who takes your call to reserve the best table for a romantic dinner date. Get the one by a window that offers privacy, yet has a pleasant view. Go wine tasting. If you live I a part of the country that has wineries, I highly recommend going wine tasting. When you walk in, don’t be afraid to admit that you are new to it to the bartender. Let her teach you how to sample wines in the right order so you can get the most enjoyment out of it.

Take her to a drive in movie. Girls know why guys like to go to the drive-ins. There will be a little hint of sexual tension the whole time. Make sure you get some good smooching in before the night is over. Go buy her popcorn and soda. Don’t make her get it herself.

Take her horseback riding. Women find taming a huge beast to be very romantic. I am talking about the horse. Take a picnic along for the trail if it is allowed.

Take her for a dinner cruise. Enjoy an evening out on the water with her for a little romance. You’ll have a nice dinner and have beautiful sights to enjoy along the way.

Take her to the local zoo. Most women love animals. People need an excuse to go to the zoo otherwise they just don’t go. You might not think so at first, but, it is definitely a good date place.

How about taking her to the beach? Prepare some of her favorite cocktails. Put them in a plastic cup with plenty of ice. Some beaches won’t allow alcoholic beverages on the beach. So sneak them in you rebels.

Take a cooking class together. Some places have these cooking classes where you learn to make all kinds of gourmet food. You prepare it and cook it together. Sounds cool huh?

Visit a local mansion that has some kind of formal gardens. Take her for a stroll around the mansion grounds. You’ll feel like a million bucks just walking around imagining what it would be like to have that much wealth.

Build a nice campfire in your backyard. Sit by it and sip hot chocolate while roasting marshmallows. This would be a nice romantic and inexpensive evening.

Take her to a local park that has pavilions and grills. Prepare her a nice afternoon or evening meal over charcoals. Throw around a Frisbee. Take a walk on a nature trail.

The two of you could take a nice long car ride some Sunday morning way out in the country. Go to someplace that is well known for its superior breakfast menu.

Have either of you ever gone sailing? Look around to see if there is a charter that offers a romantic sailing excursion. There is bound to be some place that you can go for an afternoon.

Does she love books? Take her on a little drive out to some quaint little town an hour away that has a large used book store. Spend an hour or so browsing through the selections. Buy her one if she finds something that she really likes. Then take her out for a light lunch and ice cream.

Take her on a dinner date at a restaurant that is on a lake. The lake will provide the romance you are looking for. Get there right before sunset.

Fun and Active Date Ideas

Rent a Jet Ski for an hour or two or get one for each of you. Get the blood pumping by jumping some wakes. Race around a lake and soak up some summer sun. This is sure to be a hit. Plus, it will be hot watching her dry off with a towel afterwards.

Take her out for Monday Night Football at a sports bar. Most women enjoy being in a crowd like that so long as they are cheering for the local favorite team.

Go rent a Quad and take her off road. Girls think it’s cool to have an adventurous and rugged guy who is into outdoor fun like this. Don’t scare the crap out of her. Just take her for a leisurely ride through a creek or something.

Take her to a local bunny slope where she can learn how to ski or snowboard. This could also back fire big time. I have heard stories of women saying that this was the worst thing they have ever done. Some women are more adventurous and better suited for this than others.

Take her to an amusement park. Get her to bring a bikini for the water slides so you can see what she looks like in one. Hell yeah. Don’t take her to the stand where some guy tries to guess her age or weight. You might set yourself up for disaster if he makes her feel like crap.

Is she into racing at all? The two of you could go to a stock car race or local drag race for some excitement. That will definitely get the blood pumping.

Is there a local renaissance fair or festival in your area? These are places where there are actors and actresses walking around dressed up like they live in England around the time of the middle ages. They have funny skits and maybe even do some jousting.

Have you ever seen a live horserace? These can be a lot of fun also. Just don’t look like you know too much about it or she might think you are some kind of degenerate gambler. Let her pick the winner in each race and go place $5 bets. A lot of these tracks have restaurants in them.

Is there anywhere around you that has dune buggy rides? Take her for one of those. You cruise around some sand dunes in a buggy with a professional driver. They know how to show you a good time.

Find out what kind of music she really likes. Then pick up a couple of great seats to some live performance or concert she would love to see. Surprise her with the tickets. Take her to Crue-fest and wait for the titty cam.

There has to be some kind of local ethnic festival you two could go to together. It seems like no matter where you go in the United States; there is always some kind of ethnic festival going on.

Make the date at your house. Throw a party for a bunch of your closest friends. Have some games ready to play. Prepare some awesome finger food or else get some from a caterer. Show off your bartending skills.

Take her to a local driving range for some golf lessons from you. Show her how to hit them long and straight.

You could both learn how to ice skate. This is probably a really bad first date idea though. You better know her a little bit first. Otherwise, this could spell disaster for your relationship.

Is she a sports fan? Pick up a couple of hot seats to her favorite local sports team’s game. This is sure to be a good time.

If you live in the right part of the country you could invite her out to the local pub on your snowmobile. Maybe you just want to skip the pub and ride for an hour through the woods. Have fun but don’t scare the shit out of her.

Another great wintertime activity is to your date tobogganing. There is probably some local hill that is really popular for families to sled on. This will be a blast for sure.

Want a date idea that is both exciting and romantic? Purchase a hot air balloon ride. Take a nice quiet ride like a couple of birds checking out the local country scenery.

Has either of you ever flown in a helicopter? Here is your chance. This will be a date she’ll remember for the rest of her life.

Other Date Ideas

Take her on a one day fishing trip. Teach her how to land a big one. Bring a picnic basket along. Be sure to bait her hook for her and throw all your catches back. It will not be very romantic watching you gut a fish.

Take a guided tour of your nearest large city. Every city in the United States has some kind of guided tours for things that tourists come in for. There are probably some cool things about your area that you don’t even know about. Here is a great way to learn more and enjoy each other’s company at the same time.

Take her to a theme restaurant if you have one nearby. There are all kinds of different ones scattered throughout the country. The Hard Rock Café would be considered a theme restaurant.

Find out what kinds of food she has never eaten. Then take her to the best local ethnic restaurant for that food. Ever tried Thai food? How about good German Wiener Schnitzel?

Invite her along to some charity event that you normally attend. She will get to see your soft side. Make sure it isn’t going to be a boring one though. If it is, you better think of something else to do.

You could ask her to help you shop for a gift for some family member. She might be really good at helping you pick out something touching for mom or your sister.

Do you have any local art galleries or other museums that the two of you could check out? Take her to a nice dinner afterwards.

Pack up you bikes and head out in the country for some quiet bike riding. Maybe there is some place nearby that has biking trails.

Whatever date idea you decide on, make sure that you focus on her having a good time. Pay attention when she talks. Get her to talk about the things she enjoys and values most in life. Find things that are easy for her to talk about and then be a good listener. Then you’re sure to have a nice date.
